SLP and Audiology License Guides

Where the ASLP Compact is live and what every state asks of an SLP or audiologist licensed elsewhere, for all 50 states and DC.

Thirty-six states have enacted the ASLP Compact, but only four are issuing privileges, and California, Texas, New York and Illinois are not members. Each guide covers the state's compact status, whether it licenses SLPs and audiologists from other states by endorsement, its exams, clinical fellowship and SLPA licenses, hearing aid dispensing, school credentials, and renewal. Every fact links to its source; anything we could not confirm is marked as not verified rather than guessed.

New to the compact? How ASLP Compact privileges work.

Verified October 9, 2026. The board decides every application; confirm with it before you rely on a detail.
