What SLPs and audiologists miss in Rhode Island

Can I practice in Rhode Island on an ASLP Compact privilege?

Rhode Island has enacted the ASLP Compact but is not issuing privileges yet. Until it does, practicing here takes a Rhode Island license, and a Rhode Island license does not yet give you a privilege anywhere else.

  • Enacted, not issuing yet

Can an SLP or audiologist licensed elsewhere get a Rhode Island license by endorsement?

Audiologists licensed elsewhere on or before January 1, 2008 are held to the Rhode Island rules in force when they were first licensed. Master's-level audiologists licensed in another state must show the ASHA CCC or another board-approved certification.
