What SLPs and audiologists miss in Ohio

Can I practice in Ohio on an ASLP Compact privilege?

Ohio is issuing ASLP Compact privileges (since February 9, 2026). A speech-language pathologist or audiologist whose home state is also issuing can apply for a privilege to practice here through CompactConnect, and must apply, attest and pay personally. SLPAs and clinical fellows are not eligible.

Can an SLP or audiologist licensed elsewhere get a Ohio license by endorsement?

Under Ohio's universal licensing law, the board issues a license to an SLP or audiologist who holds a license in another state, or who has qualifying work experience or certification in a state that does not license. A CCC holder or out-of-state licensee may keep practicing while the Ohio application is pending.
